Other duties may be assigned. Leads the injection, team members assigned to the shift and is the first point of contact for operators. Ensures team members are working in a safe manner and identifies and corrects unsafe work practices. Ensures plant quality standards are being met and maintained by the department. Controls the process of multiple machines using written work instructions, visual management, and computer interface. Evaluates and improves operator’s skill level and assist in training operators. Troubleshoots and performs adjustments to the machines to correct improper functions. Assists with new machine setups. Performs preventive maintenance on machines. Reviews process data daily to ensure department is meeting or exceeding efficiency requirements. Completes downtime reports and error logs. Effectively communicates issues to the shift supervisor, maintenance technicians and operations manager. Provides coverage for operator breaks.
