Job Location: Neenah, WI Title: Senior Product Development Engineer (Two Openings) Duties: Drive and contribute to product development programs, providing flexible packaging solutions that are valued by customers and that drive profitable growth. Leverage understanding of multiple customer needs and Amcor’s technical capabilities to rapidly design, develop and implement new/improved packaging materials and manufacturing processes. Plan, execute and analyze packaging production trials with Design of Experiment, Lean, and statistical analysis methodologies. Effectively use foundational understandings of material / polymer properties and equipment capability in order to meet customer needs. Collaborate with areas such as Engineering, Operations and Quality to resolve technical challenges, supporting sustained solutions. Up to 25% domestic travel primarily to manufacturing sites required, with rare international travel. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Science field related to packaging manufacturing (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science or Polymer Science). 5 years of experience in a Research and Development or Process Engineering position in a manufacturing environment. Experience must include the following: 5 years of experience in chemical/materials engineering experience in the product packaging field 5 years of experience in designing new products implemented for customers that resulted in increased sales and revenue in the marketplace 5 years of experience in at least 3 flexible packaging technologies or processes (such as: blown film, lamination, and printing) 5 years of experience managing technical aspects of account customer relationships involving regional, national or global accounts with annual sales in excess of $15 million, including scaling up product developments along with a customer’s growth 5 years of experience evaluating and documenting internal trials and projects 5 years of experience working with process engineering or technical support teams to solve problems related to the performance of product packaging Applicants must be U.S. workers (includes U.S. citizens, permanent residents, foreign nationals granted temporary residence under one of the 1986 legalization programs, refugees, and asylees).
