Job Description Position Responsibilities Operates and maintains forklift to supply production operations with raw materials to produce finished product, transfers finished product to storage or staging area and ensures finished product is loaded onto trucks in a timely manner to meet customers delivery requirements. • Operates and maintains forklift in a safe and efficient manner using work instructions, visual management and computer interface. • Supplies production operations with raw materials to produce finished product. • Prints and scans Bill of Lading for all finished goods using computer interface and RF scanner. • Inspects finished goods for quality defects. • Transfers finished goods to staging or storage areas. • Loads finished goods onto trucks in a timely manner to meet customers delivery requirements. • Accurately completes all written logs and data input to include closing sequences on tickets and printing Bill of Lading. • Ensures accurate inventory counts and notifies lead/supervisor of discrepancies. • Effectively communicates with all internal departments. • Removes/Reworks any damaged product on pallets. • Maintains a clean work area and performs general housekeeping duties. • Train current and new members of the department to perform job related tasks as needed. • Learn new on the job skills as training opportunities become available. Position Requirements • High school diploma or GED; one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination. • Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and difference between words and series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. • Must be able to manipulate with both hands, about and below shoulder height. • Able to stand on solid surface for a minimum of 12 hours. • Able to ascend and descend stairs and ladders.
