The RoleThe Pricing Strategy Operations Manager is responsible for supporting pricing and contract operations between AMD and strategic accounts/partners. This a fantastic opportunity for a recent college graduate or an early career finance or operations specialist! The Staff Operations Specialist builds and sustains strong relationships at operational and managerial levels within the Business Unit, Legal, Finance, and Sales organizations. They leverage these relationships to manage expectations, improve processes, enforce compliance, and resolve operational issues.
The PersonThe qualified candidate has demonstrated experience with implementing, facilitating, and improving business processes. This person will quickly understand sophisticated pricing and funding structures and is able to translate that information into actionable analytics for the teams they support. In addition, this person is a proactive problem solver who is self-sufficient, able to self-manage their work, and takes initiative to drive results. They possess strong interpersonal communication skills and can build collaborative relationships across all levels of the business.
Key ResponsibilitiesPricing & Funding Support
At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive. Many AMD employees have the opportunity to own shares of AMD stock, as well as a discount when purchasing AMD stock if voluntarily participating in AMD’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Key ResponsibilitiesPricing & Funding Support
- Develop strategic relationships with the Client Business Development teams to facilitate business opportunities
- Address pricing and funding inquiries, evaluate their financial impact, and drive alignment across key stakeholders in the Business Unit, Sales, Legal, Finance, and other organizations
- Collaborate cross functionally to prevent issues; investigate and recommend solutions for customer escalations
- Provide operational support for strategy changes, contract negotiations, and financial models
- Provide fast service levels to minimize risk and maximize AMD/customer success
- Collaborate to drive process improvement, minimize touchpoints, and document processes
- Manage pricing/funding operations calendar and assist in the coordination of weekly decision forums, quarterly pricing reviews, and executive communication
- Summarize data into actionable reporting for executive leadership on a regular cadence
- Record and measure business KPIs; compile pricing/funding analytics and other operational metrics to facilitate decision making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and implement efficiencies
- Has passion to grow a robust knowledge of business strategy and can easily identify areas for operational improvement
- Utilizes strong problem-solving skills including anticipating issues and implementing solutions
- Manages competing interests internally and externally to balance AMD and customer success
- Maintains exemplary communication skills with the ability to present data and concisely articulate complex ideas and solutions across a global organization
- Possesses high level of analytical skills using various tools and methodologies
- Exhibits strong level of leadership and accountability
- Seeks to continually improve themselves and is self-motivated to drive solutions
- Demonstrates flexibility and manages through ambiguous circumstances
- Works independently and requires little direct supervision
