  • Hone our shared POVs on brand voice, healthcare UX and the role of design in healthcare innovation
  • Evolve our visual language, IxD and IA in service of patient and client needs
  • Adapt existing mobile experiences to new form factors, including web
  • Ideate, iterate and polish entirely new interfaces, features and flows
  • Systematize our design decisions into a robustly scalable design system of UI components that are both:
    • Flexible across our clients' diverse brands
    • Accessible, usable and delightful for patients
Compensation Details: $104,000-$130,000/yr base salary equity options
Location: Fully Remote, but must be based in the United States with citizenship
Qualifications
Required qualifications
You have 3 years of experience in digital product design (specific experience in the healthcare space may be a plus but is not necessary) and must be US based with US citizenship.
Through your portfolio and examples of your work, you're able to demonstrate...
  • An ability to craft highly polished user interfaces
  • System-level UX thinking, beyond isolated screens and happy paths
  • A commitment to accessibility, including familiarity with specific a11y best practices and WCAG guidelines
  • Mastery of evolving best-practice consumer design patterns across iOS, Android and responsive web
  • Proficiency designing, prototyping and systematizing robust interfaces in Figma, leveraging component libraries and auto layout
  • An eagerness to learn and adopt new tools and technologies on the fly, including leaning into Figma's rapidly-changing feature set
  • An ability to deliver a high level of quality both independently and through remote collaboration with cross-functional teammates
Nice-to-have skills and experience
As a startup team used to wearing a variety of hats ourselves, we're eager to find new teammates who can complement and augment our existing competencies with new-and maybe unexpected-skills and perspectives.
If anything below looks like something in your bag of tricks, we'd love to hear about it:
  • Experience designing for B2B2C platforms
  • Real-world experience architecting, scaling and/or maintaining SaaS design systems
  • Hard-won opinions on design system tools, technologies and techniques (including such things as design tokens, code integrations, documentation systems, pattern libraries, front-end workshop tools, etc.)
  • Practical experience leveraging the latest and greatest Figma features to improve design system scalability and efficiency (particularly variables and enhanced developer integrations)
  • Experience defining and speccing out effective microinteractions (including through motion, haptic and audio design)
  • Hands-on experience with front-end development
  • Expertise in UX writing/content and/or experience implementing voice and tone guides
  • Experience engaging with and managing client stakeholders in a consulting capacity
  • Experience carrying out usability tests and user interviews
  • Experience localizing and/or internationalizing English interfaces
  • Spanish language fluency
  • Something else great we haven't even thought of (you tell us!)
