America's Credit Unions is Hiring a Data Insights & Reporting Analyst Near Madison, WI

We are seeking an experienced Data Insights & Reporting Analyst to develop and maintain dashboards and reports to enhance data utilization across the enterprise, leveraging strong business and data acumen. The ideal candidate will be involved with creating and updating process documentation, identifying gaps, and training staff to increase data use. Ensuring data quality and consistency, the role supports continuous improvement through data, process, and automation enhancements.

Responsibilities:

Dashboards and Reports

  • Strong understanding of business and data acumen to increase the use of data across the Enterprise
  • Supports the enterprise through the use of data with the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards
  • Work with the business areas and strategically determine data insights, approach, and data findings.
  • Strong analytical building with troubleshooting skills in Excel and Power BI (or similar Business Intelligence platforms); includes complex equations and data visualization

Policies and Process Documentation

  • Development and maintaining documentation
  • Identify gaps and process improvements
  • Strong knowledge of core enterprise business systems (Nimble, Salesforce and other business systems identified)
  • Assist in training staff on pulling reports and the use of the dashboards to increase the use of data

Data Quality Audit work

  • Ensures the data is being pulled accurately and consistently
  • Ensures the reporting and dashboard navigation is kept up to date and easy to use for all levels of the organization
  • Generate ideas for, and assist in, implementing data improvements, process improvements, automations, and report improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • High level of knowledge in the enterprise business systems
  • Investigate and identify root causes of issues along with suggesting potential solutions.

Data Culture Champion

  • Understands and helps identify critical data across the Enterprise to ensure we are driving to understand our member engagement at the org and individual level though data and insights.
  • Help drive a commitment for a vision that drives the enterprise to use the data as an asset that enables and forwards our strategies
  • Educate and expand business knowledge about data structure and reporting capabilities, benefits of the critical business tools.
  • Manage and complete assigned projects that support the Enterprise data quality and business systems
  • One off data analysis requests
  • Other system data review, reporting and dashboards (when needed)
  • Knowledge and ability to pull reports to create lists and reports
  • Assist with other initiatives and other duties as assigned; assist with backing up data maintenance
  • Understand and use JIRA (or other intake system) process to manage requests and communication with the department and business

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in advanced programming, mathematics, and/or data science.
  • 4 years relevant experience in the maintenance and analysis of large and complex data sets to include the use of the standard software toolsets of data science (programming, statistical software packages, databases, etc.).
  • Must be skilled in advanced programming and analytical tasks across a variety of platforms and technologies. Must have a strong mathematical aptitude including a working knowledge of statistical modeling. Must be able to communicate clearly in writing and face to face. Must have basic understanding of accounting/finance along with product management. i.e. ability to read and understand financial statements.
  • High level of concentration needed, be able to pivot and be flexible due to changing work and deadlines or quick turnarounds, Detail-oriented with ability to review work for accuracy and logicalness.
  • Background in business operations and analytics.
