America’s Test Kitchen (ATK), one of the pioneering brands in food media, is seeking a VP, Digital Content Strategy to oversee the company’s content across digital platforms. ATK reaches millions of fans each month via TV, video, print, digital, social, podcasts, and more, and is looking for a creative soul with business acumen who lives and breathes content strategy to help formulate and to operationalize a cohesive digital strategy. This new position based in Boston, MA will manage approximately 20 people, report to the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Content Officer, and have a significant role in helping to shape the future of the company where savory aromas from the test kitchen waft through the office.
The VP, Digital Content Strategy, will oversee digital editorial operations for ATK’s brands – including America’s Test Kitchen, Cook’s Illustrated and Cook’s Country – setting a strategy to produce relevant and engaging content that supports ATK’s goals. Areas of content responsibility include digital editorial across the ATK website and app, the ATK Reviews team, and ATK Classes (formerly known as the Online Cooking School).
In addition to executing on the vision for ATK’s digital content, the VP will manage editorial calendars, audit existing content, bring greater structure to ATK’s content archives, develop content franchises, and help to create incredible content experiences across formats. Storytelling is a foundational aspect of this role, and understanding how to organize content in a way that benefits ATK audiences while maximizing All-Access subscriptions, SEO, affiliate commerce, and other business considerations is equally important.
Primary Responsibilities
This position is located in our Boston, MA office in the Seaport district. It is the expectation that the person in this role will work a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) in the office and 2 days per week remotely.
