Position Title: Treasure Hunter / Product Sourcing Team MemberLocation: Gardendale, Alabama Position Purpose and Objectives Are you enthusiastic about finding hidden treasures? If you enjoy seeking out unique gems, this exciting position is perfect for you! America’s Thrift Stores is looking for a new team member. Your day-to-day activities will include searching for unique items both on our sales floor and among new donations. Your main responsibility will be identifying these special finds to sell on our online store. Roles and Responsibilities Conduct daily rack checks and floor walks to check for missed E-commerce items.Work with Product Sourcing Specialist on visits to identify strengths and opportunities.Ensure the E-commerce station is set up with all tools needed for success (PC access, totes, etc.).Audit carts and racks for high value items.Build excitement around E-com with recognition and feedback.Review E-Commerce goals and performance results in daily huddles.Train processing team members on identifying high value items. Provide feedback to individual team members to improve decision making skills.Communicate strengths, opportunities, and concerns with the store leadership team.Conduct daily store walks to search for missed E-commerce items, including checking rags, trash, and wholesale.Performs any other task, function or responsibility as instructed by their manager and/or manager of the Company. Skills and Qualifications Basic mathematical skills required.Basic computer skills.Basic reading comprehension skills. Ability to communicate well in both verbal and written forms.Ability to observe, assess and coach the work of others. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and/or verbal form.Ability to reason, make decisions, and use independent judgment in various situations.Ability to work in a group/team environment.
