Job Description

The Application Specialist reviews insurance applications and enters pertinent data correctly creating master pending records.

Location: Alico Building in Waco, TX.

Hours: M-F, 8-4:45

Pay: $16/hr

Your Day to Day

• Extracts information from applications and enters on the system creating master records.
• Makes data entry changes, creates system notifications, and finalizes if appropriate.
• Works applications in date order ensuring 1st received is 1st processed.
• Maintains error/submit ratio at 4% or less.
• Submits at least 18 – 20 applications per hour.
• Maintains a daily zero backlog.
• Maintains acceptable voice/mobile/call center application submit metrics.
• Adds contracting/licensing system errors via email to the Licensing/Contracting Department.
• Responsible for adding system notifications to New Business Customer Support when field scans and field faxes are received incorrectly.
• Assigns documents received in department systems.
• Works daily reports distributed by Production Manager.
• Notifies Lead Application Specialist or Junior Analyst to split multiple applications and assign to specific policy number efile.
• Provides necessary documents to Lead Policy Print Specialist to establish new list bill groups.
• Follows up and works cases on the Policy Issue & Marketing Pending Applications listing.

What You Have

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to type 35 wpm or more
