**Summary:**

Reporting to the Senior Director of Retail Strategy, the Principal Analyst, Retail Strategy and Operations will own the development of 3-year sales growth strategies and initiatives as well as the implementation of initiatives and programs that support those strategies and annual financial goals. Responsibilities include conducting business analysis and research using internal data and market data, development of business insights and recommendations and presentation to senior Retail Channel leadership.

**Essential Functions**

* Performs complex analysis of data and the relationship to operational and financial objectives of the organization.

* Interprets results of analysis, prepares and present findings and recommendations to senior leadership

* Collaborates with internal and external partners/ stakeholders to investigate issues, make recommendations, and develops action plans to achieve goals

* Participates in the development of the divisions 3-Year Strategy and Annual Business Plan and leads the creation and implementation of programs, processes and tools in alignment with strategies and plans.

* Leads cross-functional projects. Defines deliverables, responsibilities, timelines and KPIs. Tracks and reports on KPIs. Ensures team is engaged and informed.

* Coaches & mentors teammates on analytical approaches and actions to take to ensure quality and effectiveness

**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**

* Advanced analytical skills to effectively identify issues and drivers

* Strong knowledge of business strategy and operations to develop innovative yet executable solutions

* Demonstrated experience with cross functional project leadership and project management

* Strong sense of accountability, initiative, and the ability to function with high degree of independence

* Strong verbal and business writing communication skills

* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including charts/graphs, pivot tables, lookups, and complex nested formulas

* Experience with business intelligence, reporting and visualization platforms (Tableau, DOMO, Looker, Cognos etc)

**Education & Experience / Licenses & Certification**

* Bachelor's degree in a related area, advanced degree preferred

* 7 years of relevant experience in strategy, retail operations and/or analytics within the consumer service / product or financial service industries

* Strong executive presence and ability to collaborate with senior leadership

* Mentoring and leadership experience (preferred)
