Job Description
The Technical Director is technically oriented and serves as subject matter expert for technical services provided to clients. This includes developing and advancing services and providing technical expertise to project and business development teams. This position also includes maintaining relationships with clients and key decision-makers to help identify follow-on business opportunities and maintain customer intelligence.
What You Will Do:

• Provide technical expertise and direction to project teams.
• Provide technical expertise and direction to support planning and execution of project tasks.
• Provide technical review of project deliverables.
• Partner with business development teams.
• Attend client meetings to discuss technical topics.
• Meet with new and existing clients to listen to their needs.
• Communicate client needs to account managers.
• Identify new business opportunities with existing customers for current and/or additional services.
• Participate in marketing activities, conference presentations, and technical whitepapers.
• Assist with proposal development, including writing proposals, estimating the level of effort,
• Learn, understand, and be conversant in ABS Group products and services.
• Review published reports and news articles about existing and potential new clients to identify customer intelligence.
• Network to meet new potential clients.
• Participate in the technical development of staff.

What You Will Need:
Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably chemical or mechanical engineering discipline. At least three years of experience related to communications or public relations.
• Ten (10) years of experience facilitating PHAs and LOPAs (using HAZOP, what-if, checklists, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of department-related technical disciplines.
• Knowledge of technical products and services provided to clients.
• The human relations skills necessary to maintain positive client contacts and to provide leadership and motivation to subordinate staff and peers.
• Develop and implement logical solutions to complex problems.
• Undertake short- and long-term planning to provide efficient and effective scheduling of work assignments.
• Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Perform research and provide analysis on research performed.
• Apply critical thinking to a wide variety of problems.
• Comprehend and analyze complex problems.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Schedule:
This role is remote eligible for qualified candidates.
Salary Range: $130,000 - $169,000 base annual compensation.
Reporting Relationships:
This role reports to a Director or above and may have direct reports.
Working Conditions:
The work environment will primarily be an air-conditioned office setting requiring the employee to sit for prolonged periods while concentrating on a computer screen. The team member may assist with various tasks, including filing and talking.
