ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preventative maintenance tasks and minor mechanical repairs to plant and production equipment to avoid possible failures and malfunctions
• Perform maintenance on interior and exterior areas of the facility
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by documenting and correcting potential safety issues
• Identify required parts and supplies and utilize the ordering process to obtain them
• Provide assistance to co-workers when needed
• Analyze repair request and able to respond to plant process emergencies as well as safety emergencies
• Facilitates repairs by contacting service vendors for materials
• Responsible for safe operations of forklifts and other heavy equipment

Experience

• Three to five (3-5) years’ experience in maintenance field, preferred
• Ability to operate machinery and equipment including forklifts, basic power and hand tools
• Able to operate welding equipment, preferred

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Regular and punctual attendance
• Effective communication is required
• Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently
• Job duties will be performed on the surface, those interested must be able to obtain all applicable Federal and State underground and surface certifications; successfully complete industry approved training courses.
• Must be able to successfully pass a post offer drug test and background check
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship

JOB SCHEDULE AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed or as schedule requires (subject to applicant’s religious practices)
• Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule on a 24/7 basis (subject to the applicant’s religious practices)
• Ability/willingness to work any shift assigned
• Ability to lift floor-to-waist and waist-to-overhead
• Ability to push/pull as needed
• Standing, bending, step climbing, crawling and working overhead
• Ability to perform heavy labor and lifting 50 lbs. on a regular basis
