The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) organization has a mission to create marketplace demand and drive commerce for American Express through differentiated and innovative products, partnerships, marketing, and customer experiences. The Strategic Planning & Investments team is core to leading GABM’s strategic planning process and setting the vision for one of the world’s most valuable brands. We are looking for a dynamic individual to support the year-round integrated planning function, as well as manage and uplift our financial management infrastructure to support a global team. This Senior Manager will play a critical role in GABM’s ability to deploy, measure, and optimize global investments. 

The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills and business acumen, and has a great collaborative mindset.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Provide strategic and financial consultancy for all GABM teams.
  • Lead monthly R&O process for all discretionary investments. Manage monthly forecasting processes, funding allocation, and day-to-day financial matters for the organization. 
  • Uplift current financial measurement, reporting and visualization processes and packages. 
  • Lead development of executive reporting. 
  • Build relationships with all teams throughout the organization including key partners in Finance and Corporate Planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Consulting and/or FP&A experience preferred.
  • Strong financial analysis mindset and decision support experience, and a proven strategic thought leadership by contributing to initiatives like process improvements and re-engineering.
  • Advanced project/process management and prioritization skills.
  • Track record for leading and implementing multiple initiatives with accurate and impactful results.
  • Comfort in ambiguity with an ability to learn quickly, “connect the dots”, challenge and innovate, and drive results.
  • Excellent relationship management skills - proven ability to build and strengthen relationships across all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Strong integrity and ability to handle projects of a sensitive and confidential nature.
  • 3-5 years’ of experience in financial planning & analysis, supplementary experience in management consulting/strategy, or analytics a plus. 
  • Experience with financial systems, including Ariba and Oracle, a plus.
  • Highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint.

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
