Enterprise Digital & Data Solutions (EDDS) creates unified digital experiences for prospects and members across the entire customer lifecycle, powered by data and supports AXP growth by designing best-in-class digital & data capabilities and platforms. Within EDDS, Operational Excellence (OE) is responsible for supporting our Enterprise Acquisition, Digital Experiences, Data Governance & Platforms and MarTech Experience functions. Our team supports the business unit manage operational risk, develop new products & features, and respond to evolving regulatory requirements while elevating a risk mindset and culture.

EDDS is seeking a Sr Manager, Governance to advise on operational risk requirements, track risks within acceptable thresholds, manage BU standards and ensure Product & Process Owners are aware and compliant with risk governance frameworks. This role will collaborate extensively with EDDS leaders and stakeholders across number BUs and lines of defense.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate relevant internal policy, standards, and external requirements into executable guidance for Product & Process Owners.
  • Track issues against Key Risk Indicator (KRI) limits and Risk Appetite Framework (RAF) markets to ensure operational risk are managed within aligned thresholds.
  • Maintain BU-specific standards and procedures related to execution of ORM programs.
  • Manage and track new product governance action items and requirements to ensure execution in line with policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Document, maintain and track the inventory of in flight and in pipeline new, modified or decommission initiatives.
  • Create and deliver relevant training as needed, ensuring Product & Process Owners have awareness of operational risk requirements and program to maintain compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of financial services-related experience, preferably within Operational Risk, Operational Excellence, Compliance or Internal Audit.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management or related field
  • Understanding of operational risk management lifecycle activities.
  • Excellence project management, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to influence decisions and deliver on shared objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends and evaluate risk scenarios effectively.
  • Ability to learn quickly, “connect the dots” with a strong track record of developing ideas from concept to deployment and delivering win-win solutions for the business.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degrees (e.g. MBA, MSc) or certifications are preferred
  • Experience operating across multiple market jurisdictions is preferred

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
