The American Fence Company HR Assistant assists in departmental tasks in support of corporate HR which serves multiple locations in multiple states. This position provides support for the full employee life-cycle. Support activities include, but are not limited to, assistance in recruiting, onboarding, training, benefits, and separations. Various project work will also be assigned to this position.

  • $22 - $25 an hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create job descriptions
  • Help to maintain employee personnel files
  • Assist in benefit administration and open enrollment process
  • Assists in executing all HR related polices and practices
  • Participates in developing Human Resources department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Performs filing and other administrative duties as needed.
  • Support other HR-related functions as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities desired:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and work within deadlines
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Can maintain confidentiality of sensitive data
