American Foundation For Suicide Prevention is Hiring a Remote Temporary Walk Coordinator -Miami, FL Bi-lingual Spanish/English
LOCATION: Remote. Must Reside within the Miami Area
DURATION: Through end of October, 2024
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for raising funds and implementing the Miami Out of the Darkness Community Walk and supporting the Puerto Rico Community Walk.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, manage, and implement the Miami Out of the Darkness Community Walk.
Support the Puerto Rico Out of the Darkness Community Walk by working with Walk Chair and Committee.
Responsible for recruiting, training, and managing walk committee and day-of event volunteers for the Miami and Puerto Rico Walks.
Work with event related vendors, municipalities, and venue.
Work with national walks team.
Responsible for securing sponsorships for Walks.
Responsible for raising $150,000 for the Fall 2024 Miami Walk and $5,000 for the Puerto Rico Walk.
Focus on recruiting committee members, teams and participants within the Spanish speaking population in Miami and Puerto Rico.
Work with assigned chapter staff and key volunteers in those markets.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bilingual Spanish/English
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in nonprofit special event fundraising
Highly organized and detail oriented
Strong interpersonal and communications skills required
HOURLY PAY RANGE:
$26-32 PER HOUR
