GENERAL SUMMARY:
This position requires the coordination of activities associated with the material flow of finished goods from manufacturing to the finished goods conveyor. Associate will be responsible for paperwork flow, computer monitoring of lanes, skid label maintenance, direction of FG flow from the conveyor area, supplies stock for wrappers, and the monitoring of product issues as they arise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Obeys all plant/safety rules and complies with all OSHA regulations.
*Performs daily inspections of robots at the beginning of the shift and reports to shift supervisor.
*Maintains charts on material flow by lane on a daily basis.
*Prepares skid labels and direct flows of product based on shipping chart.
*Reports to supervision on changes and updates to the chart.
*Assists in the movement of product off the jackpot lane to ultimate destination.
*Maintains stock supplies for wrappers and labelers and reports any needs proactively.
*Obtains weight and cube information as needed and completes paperwork as required.
*Maintains lane assignments or redirection of product to utilize shipping and warehouse labor more efficiently.
*Assists in freeing of jams on lanes and product flow from the wrappers.
*Monitors direction of product flow from manufacturing to shipment.
*Performs material handling duties to prepare loads for shipment.
*Assists with research and resolution of inventory discrepancies.
*Communicates closely with supervisor on any potential issues and possible solutions proactively.
*Assists in the training of new associates.
*Notifies supervision on any labor or product related issues and contact maintenance as needed.
*Maintains clean and organized work area.
*Performs other duties as assigned.
