American Habitare and Counseling, Inc. is hiring!
American Habitare and Counseling, Inc. is looking for a Full Time RN to work at our OTP Rehabilitation Center in Newark, NJ.
Responsibilities include administration and dispensing of methadone, nursing assessments, accurate record keeping and more.
Hours of Operation:
- Monday - Friday: 6 am - 1 pm (No shift change)
- Saturday: 6 am - 12 pm (Nurses work on a rotating Saturday schedule)
- Sunday: Closed
- Prior experience dispensing methadone is preferred, however not required.
Full-time employees receive benefits including paid lunch breaks, paid vacation, paid sick days, medical, dental and vision benefits.

The desire to open an opioid treatment program was made to serve the inner-city population of Newark, as documentation showed that the drug epidemic had reached the Newark area, as in other urban areas, and treatment services were desperately needed. American Habitare and Counseling, Inc. (AHC) opened its doors on January 26, 1998 with only a few patients.
