Job Summary:
As the Sports Bar Manager at Galaxy Restaurant, you will oversee the daily operations of our sports bar, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and a profitable business. This is a part-time hourly position in the hospitality/restaurant industry located in Wadsworth, Ohio. You will be responsible for managing a team of employees, creating and implementing policies and procedures, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for our guests. This position will be a mixture of day and evening shifts, with some weekends. This individual contributor role reports to the general manager.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers $18- $19 per hour and is paid biweekly. In addition, you will have access to employee discounts, training opportunities, and a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all operations within the sports bar, including but not limited to staff scheduling, inventory management, and sales tracking.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional activities to increase revenue and attract customers.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving any issues or concerns promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including food safety and alcohol serving policies.
• Train and develop new and existing staff to provide excellent customer service and uphold brand standards.
• Monitor and manage food and beverage costs to ensure profitability.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and expenses and report to the general manager regularly.
• Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to inform decision-making and remain competitive.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a restaurant management role, preferably in a sports bar setting.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage and develop a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of POS systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
