Salary Range: $66,560-$79,500 (pay commensurate with experience)
Supervisor: Vice President, Director of Maas Center Maas Center Overview: The Maas Center at American Jewish University provides transformative experiences in both physical and virtual spaces. As partners, Maas Center helps people navigate their liveswith Jewish knowledge, tools, and experiences so that anyone can discover the power of doing Jewish on their own terms. The Maas Center offers a suite of opportunities for strengthening Jewish identity such as the Miller Introduction to Judaism, Brandeis Camp Institute, and our Community Mikvah.Job Summary:The Maas Program Coordinator will play an integral role in ensuring day-to-day success of the Miller Intro to Judaism, and BCI programs by providing logistical and administrative support. Supports and assists the VP, Director of Maas Center.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of the daily administrative operations of the Mass Center programs and administrative assistance to the VP, Director of Maas Center.
  • Provide support and service for all incoming inquiries for the Maas Center programs; work with internal team to convert inquiries into new program participant.
  • Assist with the coordination, logistics and support for Maas department events.
  • Assist with the development of Miller class schedules and attendance.
  • Assist with accounting deliverables for the Miller Program (familiarity with backend on Square, Stripe, Eventbrite and RegFox is a plus).
  • Assist facilitators on-boarding with technical support on Zoom and Dropbox as needed.
  • Greet students and facilitators via email and telephone correspondence.
  • Communicate with registered Miller Program students in preparation for their initial class meeting and respond to student administrative support needs throughout their enrollment in the program.
  • Maintain office supplies and book inventories for the Miller Program.
  • Modernize Miller Program record keeping and updating program databases.
  • Communicate with accepted BCI participants regarding tuition payments, scholarship applications, and pre-summer forms, and track their completion.
  • Assist with summer purchasing for BCI: office supplies, program materials, camp shirts/swag.
  • Assisting with expense reports, submitting invoices, and keeping details of financial transactions for BCI and Miller.
  • Scheduling for the program directors.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • B.A./B.S. required.
  • Meticulous organizational skills: ability to multitask, prioritize, anticipate challenges, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Upbeat energy, warm and friendly approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • High proficiency with written correspondence, attention to detail with error-free spelling and grammar
  • Strong computer skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Docs; ability to learn and use email marketing and database systems (RegFox, Dropbox and Emma) and budgeting software (Concur) and perform basic internet research.
  • High level of self-management and willingness to work independently or as part of a team as needed.
  • Knowledge of Jewish culture and traditions preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English; some Spanish preferred
