Business Development Manager
We have a career opportunity for a Business Development Manager. As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for developing, achieving and supporting American Laboratories, LLC's (ALI) sales department with projects, tasks, sales and customer requests.
The manager will be located in Omaha, working with different management levels and support personnel in other office locations.
The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with potential customers to build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy. This candidate will also have experience with tradeshows and brand development.
The impact you will have:
o You will provide recommendations and take action based on strategic objectives, forecasting and/or performance metrics
o You will assist with organization of conferences, tradeshows, seminars and other industry-related events, as directed by management and actively participate in those events. Travel is approximately 30%
o You will contribute to sales growth including but not limited to:
- manage and develop business proposals, the sales pipeline and new business activity
- research and analyze target market areas on the market to generate sales leads
- establish new strategic partnerships with customers
- report and present on leads and project potentials
- analyze sales data and trends to present new products and formulation ideas to management
- identify and pursue new markets to improve sales
o You will manage, track, report and present on status of sales leads
o You will support corporate initiatives and goals
o You will attain weekly, quarterly and annual sales goals
o You will collaborate with marketing and sales management to establish marketing materials and develop marketing strategies
o You will keep up with the latest industry developments, including market positioning of corporate competitors
o You will develop and enhance industry and product knowledge
What we are looking for:
o Bachelor's degree OR appropriate combination of education, experience and training
o Minimum of 5 years' of Sales or Business Development experience
o 1 of more years of experience in a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulated environment is preferred
o Experience in human or pet nutrition industry, preferred
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present to and negate with a wide range of audiences
o Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
o Strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
