Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility is to support the accounting needs for several communities
- Performs accounts payable functions for each community such as processing payments, adjustments, and researching and resolving discrepancies and unpaid invoices
- Oversee and collect all receipts, invoices, statements, etc. from department directors on a weekly basis
- Performs accounts receivable functions for each community such as processing statements, payments and adjustments, preparing bank deposits and monitoring customer's accounts for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
- Perform detailed research where needed to resolve discrepancies
- Monitor on a daily and monthly basis performance against budget and takes appropriate action to ensure each community's overall profitability
- Minimum AA degree in accounting, finance, or business
- 3 years of accounting experience
- Must be skilled in use of QuickBooks and Excel Spreadsheets
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
- Experience in multiple locations a plus
- Sound organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and handle a fast-paced work environment in a friendly and professional manner
- Demonstrate exemplary attitude, work ethic, and unwavering integrity
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
