Position Summary:

Join our dynamic team at American Paradigm Schools as an Education Data Analyst and help shape the future of education through data-driven insights. As a pivotal member of our team, you will oversee the full lifecycle of education data, from collection and analysis to reporting and presentation, utilizing various student-level and organizational data sources. Your work will directly impact educational outcomes, support personalized learning plans, and enhance organizational programs. Embrace a growth mindset as you drive strategic decisions, promote a data-driven culture, and identify areas for continuous improvement. Your expertise in data warehousing, data lakes, and compliance with city, state, and federal reporting requirements will be crucial. You will help develop KPIs and visualizations to track and achieve goals around student growth, outcomes, and equity, in alignment with ESSA guidelines and Pennsylvania's Department of Education standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, analyze, and report K-12 education data from multiple sources to meet local, state, and federal requirements and inform strategic decisions.
• Leverage data analytics tools and design Tableau dashboards to measure the impact of educational technologies, visualize data trends, and provide actionable insights to enhance student performance and personalized learning.
• Maintain and manage data platforms, ensuring real-time updates, data integrity, and comprehensive analysis by integrating data from various sources to foster a data-driven culture.
• Provide support and training to stakeholders on digital platforms and data usage, and collaborate with educators to create personalized learning plans based on detailed data analyses.
• Support instructional leaders in understanding and utilizing student data to guide professional development and coaching of teachers.
• Continuously improve educational strategies by identifying trends and patterns in data and staying current on data sources, analysis techniques, and presentation strategies through ongoing professional development.
• Develop standards-aligned assessments and track student mastery to support targeted instruction.
• Support subject-level directors in their initiatives to drive student growth in specific areas such as Math, ELA, and Science instruction and.
• Work with both qualitative and quantitative student and employee-level data to support all areas of the organization in accessing and utilizing rich data presentations.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in a K-12 environment using data to guide instruction and curriculum improvements.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting EdTech programs and supporting digital learning initiatives.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to make data accessible and actionable.
• Excellent analytical skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy in data collection and reporting.
• Effective multitasking and time management abilities to handle multiple projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, tailored to various stakeholders.
• Commitment to fostering a data-driven culture to inform educational initiatives and improve student outcomes.

Technical Expertise:

• Experience with Student Information Systems (SIS) for maintaining data integrity.
• Expertise in Tableau for creating interactive and user-friendly data visualizations.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for database management and querying.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including macro writing for data automation.
• Proficient in Python for advanced data analysis.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Athena and server management.
• Strong background in data warehousing and familiarity with data lakes for flexible data analysis.
• Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
• Experience with data visualization best practices and techniques to ensure clarity and usability.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their application in educational data analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, education, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in an educational setting.
• Tableau Certification is required.
• Demonstrated expertise in SQL and Python.
• Proven experience in database management and data warehousing.
• Proficiency in working with cloud-hosted platforms such as AWS.
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in data science, statistics, education, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in data analysis and visualization, particularly in K-12 education.
• Extensive experience with Tableau, including advanced dashboard creation and data storytelling.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and other data management and analysis tools.
• Experience with AWS, including Athena and server management.
• Proven track record of using data to drive educational improvements and student success.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, talk, drive, and move up and down from a seated position as needed.
