Inventory Specialist
At American Patrols, patrolling pipeline and production assets is at the heart of what we do. Our Production Patrol and Pipeline Patrol services help customers protect the environment, preserve revenue, minimize cleanup costs, and implement cost-efficient operating models in the field.
We are growing rapidly, and are seeking to add a motivated, detail-oriented, flexible Inventory Specialist to the Team to enable us to maintain our fleet of over 55 aircraft. We operate in a fast-paced environment where trust is key, and high-performance is expected and rewarded.
Job Summary
The Inventory Specialist performs key logistics, administrative and clerical duties in support of in-house aviation maintenance managers and mechanics. This is a vital role, embedded within the Maintenance Team, that tackles routine tasks (inventory/supply replenishment, filing, documentation checks, scheduling) and one-off projects to ensure that the Team has everything they need to operate at the highest levels.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages inventory and supply systems to ensure supplies are accounted for and in the right location
Sources, orders, receives and shelves replacement parts and supplies; tracks and records transactions
Coordinates with aircraft parts distributors on a routine basis
Maintains current stock levels and adjust as needed
Manages and distributes assets, such as aircraft parts to maintenance activities
Ensures supplies are in good condition and meet safety and regulatory standards
Ensures financial accountability for all assets
Compiles monthly and ad-hoc inventory records
Ensures inoperative parts are promptly shipped to overhaul service providers as appropriate.
Follows safety procedures ensuring a safe working environment
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Process, screen, and maintain aircraft maintenance forms and records.
Initiate and/or distribute applicable maintenance forms in accordance with established procedures.
Track productivity to enable maintenance capacity and forecasting.
Prepare typed and/or computer-generated correspondence and reports.
Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager and/or Operations Manager, ensuring accurate aircraft statuses are updated in Company systems in real time.
Forecast and schedule planned maintenance.
Update the aircraft operations schedule.
Updating aircraft status board and aircraft status sheets.
Inputting discrepancies into maintenance specific software.
Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork and organization skills are essential.
High School degree or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
Two years’ experience in ordering, receiving, and tracking of inventory
Experience in a documentation-intensive work environment required; working knowledge of aircraft maintenance records preferred but not required.
Experience in high-volume clerical and/or scheduling role(s).
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Sheets is preferred.
Proficient with web-based and mobile scheduling and communications applications is beneficial.
Must be able to lift and carry 70-lbs from floor to waist level or higher on a continuous basis if required; able to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, crawling, and twisting for extended amounts of time.
Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position; ability to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) such as ear protection, safety glasses, gloves, and high visibility clothing when required. This is an airport environment with duties both indoor and outdoor. Must be able to withstand extreme outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperature ranges will be encountered.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
