The School Office Manager will perform intermediate-level clerical and administrative tasks to manage the office in a smooth and professional manner.
May train and oversee the work of lower-level clerks and temporary help.
Performs a broad variety of intermediate level clerical and administrative tasks as directed and required for the support of the office or individual.
Prepares office documents and memoranda, which may include higher-level technical, statistical, and narrative reports; distributes copies of documents as directed.
Prepares formal business communication, recurring reports, and similar correspondence; acquires signatures as necessary.
Schedules and coordinates meetings and conferences for assigned staff; takes notes, minutes, or other documentation as directed.
Maintains the calendar for the assigned department or individual.
Maintains and organizes files and records.
Greets and welcomes visitors; answers and directs phone calls.
May collect fees and payments; provides receipts and other records for monetary transactions.
May be required to resolve complaints or answer inquiries.
Collaborates with other departments to complete some office functions.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
Superior understanding of office methods, procedures, and equipment.
Ability to learn, interpret, and apply policies and procedures.
Ability to type at least 60 WPM.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
At least one year of experience in general secretarial and/or clerical work required.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
