American Recycling is an Electronic Recycling facility. We recycle all old electronics and computer equipment, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and cell phones.

We are looking for a motivated Computer Technician who is ready to embrace the challenge of a full-time position.

In a secure and supportive yet fast-paced work environment, the Computer Repair Technician must be able to diagnose issues with a device quickly, determine if it can be fixed, and estimate the time it will take to fix it. The work primarily involves hardware issues. Some Linux experience is needed.

The applicant will need to know how to do the following:

• Computer repair, virus removal, or other cleanup services.
• Diagnosed and troubleshot Apple computers and iOS hardware.
• Perform repairs on Apple computer and iOS hardware.
• Get technical information from the computer in BIOS
• Pull hard drives
• Wipe hard drives
• Screen replacement (laptops, tablets)
• Add/replace drives
• Replace keyboards
• Upgrade/replace RAM
• Factory reset from outside the device
• Troubleshoot hardware issues for desktops, laptops, MacBook tablets and phones
• Update spreadsheets

· CompTIA A certification is preferred but not required.
