Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Day Operations Manager to oversee cleaning and janitorial services at an high profile athletics venue. As the Day Operations Manager for Cleaning Services, you will be responsible for managing the planning, coordination, and execution of cleaning operations to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment year round.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with clients daily to build strong relationships and ensure the facility is clean and ready for games and events.
• Assess, delegate, and oversee the completion of work order tasks to address cleaning issues and gaps.
• Lead and direct staff to accomplish daily, weekly, and project-specific cleaning tasks.
• Execute cleaning plans for the facility effectively and cost-efficiently.
• Train, supervise, develop, and motivate the janitorial staff. Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
• Manage staffing levels, work schedules, and time and attendance records, especially in handling changes and unexpected absenteeism.
• Oversee and control equipment, supplies, and materials inventory.
• Regularly inspect the facility to ensure cleanliness, security, and safe operations. Attention to detail is critical.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt responses to client requests and concerns.
• Communicate effectively with both the General Manager and clients to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Assist with event quotes, staffing, and post-event cleaning inspections.
• Weekend work is required during the season and occasionally in the off-season.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in facility management, hospitality, business administration, or related fields preferred.
• Proven experience in managing cleaning services or janitorial operations, preferably within a sports or athletic facility setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively guide and motivate a team.
• Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during busy sports seasons.
• Knowledge of NCAA regulations and protocols related to facility maintenance and cleanliness is a plus.
• Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling, reporting, and communication purposes.
