Transportation Coordinator

The Transportation Coordinator interfaces directly with internal and external partners to provide a timely flow of merchandise into our Distribution Centers while working to maintain the lowest possible transportation costs.

As the Transportation Coordinator, you will:

Effectively communicate and partner, with fleet team to schedule and seek out opportunities to fill empty miles with backhaul opportunities.

• Tender and track delivery loads to ensure efficiency, low-cost utilization, and on-time-delivery.
• Process and file paperwork to ensure Fleet Teams have all necessary documentation for backhaul program.
• Tracks and Reports on all aspects of carrier and store delivery including external load tracking.
• Oversee weekly carrier invoicing to ensure loads are closed and billed timely.

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• High School Diploma required.
• 2 years Transportation Experience preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong Attention to Detail
• Strong accounting skills (accounts payable and receivable).
• Strong organization skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to multitask.
• Clear and Concise communication skills.

Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
