Manager, Member Engagement
The American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (ASGCT) is seeking an outgoing and highly motivated Manager of Member Engagement to join our team. In this role, you will foster relationships with members and stakeholders with the goal of increasing participation in ASGCT benefits and programs. You will also support ASGCT’s membership recruitment and retention plan, outreach and sales efforts, and membership operations. Reporting to the Director of Membership, this position will play an important part in driving growth and awareness of ASGCT across a rapidly evolving gene and cell therapy industry landscape.

Responsibilities

• Alongside the Director of Membership, develop and foster relationships with prospects, members, volunteers, and key organizational contacts in order to increase membership and participation in ASGCT events and programs.
• Manage the development and execution of ASGCT’s membership recruitment, retention, and engagement plan.
• Support the implementation of new membership benefits and programs; enhance and maintain current programs.
• Collaborate on the development of sales collateral, value proposition and messaging, aligning with membership goals, and in coordination with the marketing-communications team.
• Contribute to the development of ASGCT related communications and marketing/promotions for member engagement and practice-related content.
• Update and maintain CRM with touchpoints and outreach progress. Collaborate with the Development and Outreach teams as needed.
• Create and maintain IQAs, business objects, and other iMIS elements for reporting and email list target groups.
• Maintain iMIS RiSE pages to provide exceptional user experience integrated in ASGCT.org.
• Alongside the Member Services Coordinator, provide a high level of service as the secondary contact for incoming calls to ASGCT and to the general email inbox. Triage specific inquiries to ASGCT staff members as appropriate.
• Support overall volunteer engagement, recruitment and ASGCT Board elections.
• Assist in preparation and delivery of monthly / weekly departmental reports and member lists.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• Undergraduate bachelor’s degree.
• 4 years of related professional experience, preferably within a member-driven professional association or other nonprofit organization.
• Results driven. Proven success in meeting individual/department goals while using data driven insights to define strategies and targets.
• Excellent communication skills. Outgoing, relationship focused personality comfortable communicating with a variety of stakeholders via phone, text, email, social media, etc.
• Project and relationship management experience with attention to detail and a technical understanding of CRMs and related communications tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and teams within the organization.
