Job Description

American Trades Contracting is a leading provider of specialized contracting services in the Southwest. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced EST-3 Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Albuquerque, NM.

Job Description: As an EST-3 Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Edwards Systems Technology (EST) 3 fire alarm systems. Your expertise will ensure the safety and compliance of our clients' facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation : Plan, design, and install EST-3 fire alarm systems, including control panels, detectors, pull stations, and notification devices.
Programming : Configure and program the fire alarm system to ensure optimal performance and integration with other building systems.
Maintenance : Perform regular inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems to ensure functionality and compliance with safety codes.
Troubleshooting : Diagnose and repair issues with fire alarm systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum safety.
Compliance : Ensure all work adheres to local, state, and national fire safety codes and standards.
Documentation : Maintain detailed records of installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED; additional technical training or associate degree preferred.
NICET Level II certification or higher in Fire Alarm Systems.
Certification and training in EST-3 systems.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with fire alarm systems, preferably EST-3.
Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and local regulations.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
