Assist the Transportation Coordinator/Vanway with assigned tasks and responsibilities in an enthusiastic and positive manner to ensure Colleagues and Passengers experience WOW! Magic Moments on a consistent basis. Is there to assist the Transportation Coordinator with activities that enhance our transportation services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

• Dispatching
• Assigning vehicles
• Coordinating vehicle maintenance
• Costing out routes
• Completing required Reports
• Supervising assigned Colleagues
• Motivating Colleagues
• Handling daily issues calmly/thoroughly
• Ensuring Extraordinary Customer Service to Passengers
• Promoting our WOW! Magic Culture throughout the department
• Perform all other duties as assigned

SKILLS NEEDED/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Understand and is able to provide extraordinary customer service that differentiates American Training from other human service providers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Excel, and Word. Ability to create reports.
• Ability to instruct Colleagues and Guests providing support during a crisis. Must be able to respond in a logical calm manner.
• Ability to manage and create solutions to transportation issues.
• Possess excellent verbal skills and be able to communicate clearly both in person and over the radio.
• Flexibility in work schedule- contingent upon management needs.
• Must provide positive leadership and have ability to motivate supervised Colleagues.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to lift 40-60 lbs. Be able to assist Guests including wheelchair bound Guests, to and from vans and home destinations. Must be able to apply First Aid/ CPR to the Guests being transported. The Assistant Transportation Coordinator must be able to work in an environment that is frequently hectic and fast paced. Must be able to apply First Aid/ CPR if necessary. Must be able to use common sense and kindness when intervening with Guests while maintaining a WOW! Magic attitude during potential behavioral situations

Qualifications

Minimum of one year management experience. Must be able to demonstrate through professional and/or personal experience empathy and knowledge of the challenges facing the people who we are transporting. Knowledge of transportation and vehicle maintenance preferred
