Summary:

The Department of Government in the School of Public Affairs is seeking to hire Student Staff Assistants to perform administrative tasks and special projects.

Essential Functions:

• Student Staff Assistants will welcome faculty, staff, students, and guests to the department.

• The assistants will provide administrative support such as making copies, scanning documents/texts, distributing mail, making flyers, running errands (e.g.: returning materials to the library), and editing.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• The student must meet all educational requirements and be able to effectively perform the duties associated with the position.

• Must be able to use a machine that can copy, print, scan, and fax. Have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Be able to create and design flyers using Adobe, MS Word, Canva, or other software.

Compensation:

• $17.50-$18.00 per hour.
