A Week in the life of a DataLink Engineer: 

• Join an engaged, 100% employee-owned company.
• Have relevant technical experience with Datalink Link 16.
• Possess a good understanding of basic computer networking.
• Possess a good understanding of computer system design and software development (C Preferred).
• Have the ability to communicate and present technical details both written and verbally. 
• Design, document, implement and test Datalink Simulation Models and associated simulator hardware.
• Perform Technical review of customer requirements and participate in test planning meetings.
• Develop test plans and procedures, and schedules.
• Execute test events, collect data and conduct analysis, create reports.
• Work with industry, SMEs, and operators to push the state of the art in simulation used for platform Operational Test and high-end training.

• Degree: BS in Scientific or Engineering Discipline. Degrees in Aerospace, Computer Science, Data Science, Software Systems, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics may qualify as substitute.
• Minimum of 3 years experience relevant to work area. 
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Must have the ability to accommodate a hybrid schedule (1-2 days a week in office) with a mandatory 2-3 month on site training period (Managers discretion).

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $75,000.00-126,000.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
