Kentucky College Coaches on Campus maintains that all students deserve equal opportunity, access, and support with their education. Coaches assist students in making a successful academic and social transition from high school to college and offer them information and services to help them persist. The purpose of the mentor program is to ensure that students, especially underserved and marginalized students (e.g., first-generation college-going, low-income, minorities, non-traditional, disabled, etc.), get the information, knowledge, and coaching they need to attain their educational goals.
