The purpose of this position is to support the I&R (Information and Referral) and AT (Assistive Technology) departments. The I&R duties are supported by the Director of Information and Referral. I&R Support Member will support phone coverage to speak to callers about Able SC services, navigate support, and provide resources as needed. Documenting data into Able SC’s database (CILSuite) and supporting internal and referral processes at the frontline.

Member Duties : Serves as the first point of contact for callers. Answers incoming calls, emails, and requests. Answers questions about Able SC’s mission, vision, and services. Disseminates knowledge of IL philosophy to staff, consumers, and the community.Advocate for consumer choice and consumer driven focuses in all situations. Serves as an advocate for the rights of people with disabilities. Advocate for consumer choice and consumer-driven focuses in all situations. Provide disability awareness to the community. Assistive Technology Duties: Completes or assists with intake forms when the I&R Specialist is unavailable or as needed. Shares, mails, or emails quick resources to I&R or callers. Coordinates donations and distributions from the assistive technology program. Assists with updating and organizing the AT inventory. Assists with coordination, donations, and distribution for Able SC’s assistive technology program.
