AmeriCorps is Hiring a Virtual Education VISTA Coordinator Year 2024 Near Hattiesburg, MS
As a result of COVID 19, education has changed dramatically with the distinctive rise of e-learning, whereby teaching is undertaken remotely and on digital platforms. Virtual field trips will be a successful way to teach students about the world around them – any day, any time. Our goal is to establish a virtual education program for low-income 3rd – 9th grade students, whether fully online or through blended classroom learning, as well as meetings and conference technology programs for the center. The VISTA will incorporate virtual, fun learning and possibly career choice programs such as the Arts which would include photography, film and video, and science lab. Low-income students will also be given the opportunity to enjoy fun science games while learning more about science and technology. This includes online activities to learn about animals, plants, chemistry, biology, physics, space, magnets, electricity, forces, light, sounds, gases and other science related topics. These activities and resources will benefit youth and their families to be successful, alleviate poverty and help sustain our organization to provide services for more families in the future.
