Amerilab Technologies is a growing and leading US manufacturer in the development, manufacturing, and packaging of effervescent tablets, and effervescent and non-effervescent powders in stick packs and sachets, and we are currently seeking skilled and experienced Controller to join our team.The Controller is responsible for managing/overseeing the execution of day-to-day finance department activities to include AP/AR transactions, inventory transactions, month/quarter/year-end financial statements and sales reports, credit and collections, etc. along with preparing monthly financial summaries for DCC our parent company. The position is responsible for the Finance department and corporate budget preparation along with providing updates throughout the year as needed. The controller also provides direct supervision to the finance department staff. This role is 100% on-site (non-remote/hybrid).Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned areas or workgroup to ensure organizational and objectives are met.
  • Maintains and promotes a strong internal control environment. Identifies possible weaknesses and develops systems/processes to close any gaps in conjunction with the financial policies of the company.
  • Manage to ensure proper execution of the company’s accounting transactions efficiently and effectively and in accordance with GAAP.
  • Preparation and analysis of month-end; sales reports: budget reports; customer account and vendor account reports.
  • Responsible for the preparation and analysis of the weekly financial forecast.
  • Manage the execution of daily accounting activities to include payroll, AP/AR, Fixed assets, inventory and all other accounts.
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of industry standard accounting practices for general accounting transactions. Directly handles higher-level tasks, including sensitive and/or control tasks, reports, journal entries and accruals, reviews, analyses, reconciliations, and error resolution.
  • Participates in the development and preparation of annual budgets and budget revisions.
  • Responsible for the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinate and manage all audit activity, including banks, government, and financials.
  • Champion process improvements and problem-solving activities within all accounting operations to ensure compliance with GAAP and good management practices.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of company accounting policies and procedures.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
Safety Protocol:

  • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
  • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
  • Support safety policies and programs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership and direction to the Manufacturing team.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
  • Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
