Responsible for providing litigation support to senior Attorneys, including, but not limited to drafting various motions, conducting legal research, making appearances in court for various hearings, assisting with trial preparation and in trial, taking and defending depositions and conducting judgement debtor exams. 

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Draft motions to strike, demurrers, discovery responses, discovery motions, motions for summary judgment, and various other pleadings and motions as needed.
• Make appearances in court for various hearings.
• Draft requisite meet and confer letters for various motions.
• Prepare Case Managements Statements and Mandatory Settlement Conference Statements.
• Prepare applications for renewal of judgments and conduct judgment debtor exams.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Assist with trial preparation, including drafting motions in limine.
• Handle all trial related matters, including preparation, pre-trial hearings and trial.
• Review and revise complaints.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

• Detail oriented and strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle multiple cases at the same time and ability to prioritize effectively.

Industry and Work Experience:

• 5 year(s) of experience as an Attorney with a civil litigation firm.
• Membership in the California State Bar in good standing.

Academic:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school required (ABA approved).

Salary Range $110,454 - $184,456.
