ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Provides customers with support and service with benefits enrollment process. Provides support in the administration of welfare plans including health, dental, life, vision, disability, voluntary benefit plans, and open enrollment in compliance with federal regulations. Researches industry trends, survey data and best practices to determine and recommend cost effective and competitive total reward solutions consistent with organizational goals and objectives. Actively engaged in the benefit renewal and open enrollment planning process. Educates team members on benefit and leave inquiries and helps them understand the complexities of Total Rewards offerings. Administers employee savings plans that may include the company’s 401(k) plan, personal savings plans, and deferred compensation program. Perform forecasting and modeling as needed. Stay abreast of compliance requirements; assist with formulation of recommendations to administer programs in a compliant manner. Assure through audits, reports, and personal contact that company Paid Time Off & Leave of Absence programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) A combined total of 3 or more years of progressively responsible work experience in two of the following areas is required: compensation, benefits, HRIS, payroll, and/or well-being is required. Demonstrated experience in successfully managing multiple tasks and complex projects simultaneously is required. Requires thorough knowledge of applicable Human Resource laws and regulatory compliance in Compensation & Benefits (i.e., ACA, ERISA, FMLA, FLSA, OHSA, etc.) Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and make decisions independently using rational judgment is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel is required. Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Lifting. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles. Fingering. Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling. Grasping. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm. Feeling. Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips. Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The physical requirements of this position are: Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work. The visual acuity requirements including color, depth perception and field vision are: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
