Island Tree Veterinary Hospital strives to help our team members find a balance between life and work. The experienced veterinary assistant would be compassionate towards our patients, clients, and staff. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. They would be a positive team player looking to support a great team and willing to continue their own education. The ideal candidate is confident in rooming patients, has experience and knowledge with in-clinic laboratory equipment, can properly handle and restrain animals, is willing to work with our technicians and veterinarians, understands the importance of client education, and wants to advance their skills to the next level. Job Responsibilities and Skills include but are not limited to:

• Supporting the licensed veterinary technicians in our state-of-the-art treatment area.
• Maintaining care of patients, including walks, feedings, and medications
• Maintaining and monitoring food and medication pick-ups
• client communication and services
• maintaining the cleanliness of the clinic and its facilities
