We are currently looking to hire a Veterinary Assistant with at least 1 years of experience. It is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable rooming patients, assisting in surgery, drawing blood and running bloodwork, know x-rays and positioning, general hospital cleaning, understand the importance of client education, have experience with proper animal handling and restraint, be able to use in-clinic lab equipment, and working beside the veterinarians and other team members with daily tasks. Requirements
- 1 years of prior experience in a veterinary clinic
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Dispensing and administering medications ordered by the veterinarian
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Must be able to lift 40lbs without assistance
- Caring and compassionate toward our patients and clients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Positive team player willing to continue to learn
