The Ames Middle School coaching staff is looking for an Assistant Girls Cross Country Coach for the the 2024-25 school year.
Work Schedule: During the season, the work schedule will be 4:00 p.m.- 5:30 p.m., M-F. Additional hours are also required during meet days.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Assists Head Cross Country Coach in running a competitive program.
• Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
• Abides by strict confidentiality at all times.
• Creates a sense of belonging and a welcoming environment for all athletes and families.
• Attends work on a consistent and punctual basis.
• Assists with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A current Iowa Department of Education coaching authorization.
• Experience coaching cross country at the youth, middle school, or high school level preferred.

Compensation: $2,395 season stipend
