Ametek Reichert Technologies is Hiring a Facilities Technician Near Depew, NY

Maintenance Technician Job Description:

The Maintenance Technician’s primary role is to perform building repair and maintenance in order to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable work environment for all employees. The Maintenance Technician will also assist in various Operational duties as required such as health and safety management, manufacturing support and general machine shop functions.

Essential Functions:

· Performs maintenance and repair to electrical, carpentry, assembling/disassembling shelving, painting, plumbing, moving machinery, HVAC and building finishes as needed.

· Provides support for daily activities such as equipment moves or installations, office changes, repairs requests, and hot/cold calls relating to HVAC equipment.

· Maintains service records and updates to Maintenance PM (Periodic Maintenance) binders.

· Prepares files and maintains records of contractor safety documents including hot work permits, project safety checklists, and visitor access requirements.

· Maintains and updates contractor list including vendor insurance documentation.

· Responds to service requests via the helpdesk system, email or voicemail.

· Repairs motors, building circuits 110-220 V, hookup and install electric service machine and equipment controls.

· Assists in the inspection and preparation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste collection containers for pickup by outside service providers.

· Performs chemical inventory verifications and maintains SDS binders.

· Provides escort, assistance and oversite as needed to on-site service vendors.

· Provides backup coverage for building janitorial and snow blowing/shoveling if needed.

· Use company vehicle as directed.

Qualifications:

· Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

· 2 years’ facility maintenance experience

· Operation of forklift, electric hand truck and manlift.

Preferred Additional Skills:

· Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

· Must be willing to work on ladders at heights up to 50’ at times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 per hour
