Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Affordable Housing Property Manager to oversee and manage residential properties under the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of affordable housing regulations, excellent communication skills, and a passion for ensuring high-quality living environments for residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Tenant Relations:
  • Maintain positive tenant relations through regular communication and addressing tenant inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with lease terms and property rules, fostering a supportive community environment.
  • Financial Management:
  • Oversee rent collection, including monitoring delinquencies and implementing collection procedures.
  • Prepare and manage property budgets, ensuring expenses are within budgetary guidelines.
  • Process invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Compliance and Regulations:
  • Ensure compliance with all LIHTC program requirements, including annual certifications, tenant income verifications, and lease compliance.
  • Stay updated on affordable housing regulations and implement necessary changes to policies and procedures.
  • Maintenance Oversight:
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair activities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare regular reports on property performance, including financial statements, occupancy rates, and maintenance logs.
  • Maintain organized and accurate property records and files.
  • Team Leadership and Supervision:
  • Supervise on-site staff, including leasing consultants and maintenance personnel.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, providing guidance and training as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in property management, preferably in affordable housing and LIHTC.
  • Strong knowledge of affordable housing regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in property management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
