Staff Backend Engineer - Up to $220K base

Amicus has recently partnered with an exciting blockchain startup building a decentralized protocol for blockspace financial assets.

They are searching for an experienced Backend Engineer, who will be responsible for architecting and developing essential services crucial for the seamless running of the protocol, as well as services that handle fundamental user interactions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, deploy, scale and monitor backend services that power the protocol.
• Develop a deep understanding of the protocol and review protocol design.
• Work with cloud services.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Cross-team collaboration to facilitate integrations with frontends and different blockchains.

Qualifications:

• Expert knowledge in one of: Go, Python, Node.js, Java.
• Experience in assessing and implementing backend scaling requirements.
• Experience writing/championing technical roadmaps.
• In-depth understanding of network security.
• Experience working with databases and database migrations.
• Experience with Web3, Blockchain mechanisms, smart contracts and cryptography is a plus.
