Remembrance, Resolution, Reconciliation, Restoration, RenewalAbout the Position:The Account Payable Specialist performs daily review and accurate coding of organizations’ bills to enter in a timely fashion to the accounting software system.
Job Type: Full-Time
Position: Exempt
Salary: $45,760.00
Location: Tucson, AZ
What You Will Do:
- Complete accurate coding of bills to proper General Ledger accounts and location
- Verify if purchase order approval is needed and due dates on bills
- Attach documentation of bills, approvals, and Purchase orders to bill entry in Sage Accounting Software
- Verify Due Dates on invoices for timely payments
- Attending meetings as appropriate to position. Participate in conferences and training sessions relating to areas of responsibility
- Attention to detail
- All other duties as assigned
- Associate degree in accounting or 2 years of experience in Account Payable data entry
- Ability to investigate and resolve problems with payable entries
- Ability to work constructively with diverse people and with parties that may have divergent perspectives and interests
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to foster teamwork and cohesiveness
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Ability to operate general office equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
