Job Description & RequirementsPharmacy Technician - Acute - (Pharm / Pharma Tech)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D/E Pay Rate: $1344.00 - $1549.00
Minimum Qualifications Experience ? One year of experience in pharmacy preferred. Education and Training ? High school diploma or GED License, Certifications, Other Credentials ? Registered as a pharmacy technician with the State Board of Pharmacy required. Other Qualifications ? Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacy nomenclature and calculations. ? Proficiency in the use of applicable computer software. ? Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Purpose of Job Greets members at front desk, enters information about prescriptions into computer system, receives payment from members, and prepares medications for approval by pharmacist. Consistently supports the precepts of Corporate Compliance and Principles of Responsibility by maintaining confidentiality, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with integrity, reporting observed fraud and abuse, and complying with applicable state, federal and local laws and program policies and procedures, as well as, proper use of Kaiser Permanente Personal Computer (PC) and applications. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Greets members at counter or over the telephone, verifies member?s eligibility status, and receives prescriptions from members for pharmaceuticals. 2. Enters prescription information into computer system and prints labels for use by pharmacist. 3. Receives payment according to terms of members? plan. 4. Selects requested drugs from Baker cell dispenser or counts drugs from pharmacy shelf. 5. Attache
