Amotec has been engaged in a search for a Senior Process Engineer with our client, a global manufacturer, located 30 minutes south of downtown Cleveland, OH. As the Senior Process Engineer, The individual will oversee minor project management, engineering, and production process support, focusing on metrics such as labor efficiency, automation, scrap reduction, and tooling controls. This role includes leading departmental initiatives to advance Lean Manufacturing, employing lean tools and fostering a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, assess, and enhance manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and quality.
• Address and resolve issues impacting manufacturing performance by identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, sustaining improvements, and determining necessary support.
• Evaluate and plan workforce usage, spatial requirements, workflow, and equipment layout to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Spearhead continuous improvement projects using lean and Six Sigma principles, aiming to drive operational excellence and profitability, while fostering a culture of waste reduction and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• B.S., Industrial OR Mechanical Engineering
• 5 years of Process Engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
• Previous project management experience is required for this role
• 3-5 years of lean or six sigma experience is required for this role
• Experience with CNC (Lathes/Mills), Stamping, melting or heat treating is highly preferred for this role
• Previous raw material manufacturing experience is a plus for this position
