Job DescriptionOverview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Travel and Expense Analyst to support our T&E Program Lead in overseeing and managing the company's travel expenses. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Excel, possess strong analytical skills, and have the ability to identify spending patterns and compliance issues within travel and expense data.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze travel and expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Utilize Excel to organize and interpret data, including costs associated with travel expenses.
- Identify trends and patterns in expense data to help monitor spend within company policies.
- Draft and send detailed emails to managers and other stakeholders with insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting policies and ensure adherence throughout the expense reporting process.
- Collaborate with the T&E Program Lead to develop and implement improvements in the expense management system.
- Provide support in managing and configuring expense reporting tools and systems (experience with Concur is a plus).
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required
- Proven experience in data analysis and report generation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., use of pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly as they relate to expense management.
- Prior experience in travel management or using travel and expense reporting tools like Concur is preferred but not required.
