Job Description

The Senior Information Technology (IT) Specialist will provide general IT services to a multitude of efforts at the Threat Systems Management Office (TSMO) on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. The IT Specialist should possess an advanced understanding and demonstrable experience with information technology, system administration, and network infrastructure activities. Given the hands-on nature of the responsibilities, the Senior IT Specialist will mostly be providing ON-SITE support at TSMO on Redstone Arsenal. This position is contingent on award.

Scope

The Senior IT Specialist will provide both classified and unclassified Information Technology (IT) support to the Threat Systems Management Office on the Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet), Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) and Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS). The IT Specialist will provide both technical and administrative support to NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS including user account documentation, Video Teleconferencing (VTC) and Voice over IP (VoIP) Phone configuration, NTFS File Permission configuration, workstation imaging and troubleshooting, and ordering and updating user SIPRNet tokens and certificates. You will assist the TSMO Information Management Officer (IMO) with COMSEC regarded functions consisting of maintaining keying material (KEYMAT), KEYMAT inventory and expiration, ordering required KEYMAT, rekeying both Secure Terminal Equipment (STE) and vIPer secure phones and loading NSA type 1 encryptors. Assist the TSMO IMO in preparing the required documentation for Simplified Acquisition Packages (SAP) for large equipment purchases that are required for the maintenance of NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS. The IT Specialist will help in the installation of hardware, software, and peripheral components such as printers, keyboards and monitors. The contractor will be responsible for configuring, administering, and maintaining government issues cellular telephones for TSMO end users.

The Senior IT Specialist should be comfortable providing Windows and Linux System Administration support for servers and workstations, alike. The ideal candidate would be familiar with establishing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network, system, and application issues in support of mission critical operations.

Qualifications

Required

• BA or BS degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field of study or a minimum of four years of direct IT / System Administration experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 7 years IT specialist / Systems Administration experience
• Active DoD TOP SECRET Clearance
• Ability for up to 10% travel

Desired

• DOD 8570 certification (Security , Network )
• IT systems administration and network administration experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET / SCI clearance
